Flynn Rider raped Rapunzel in Disney's Tangled!

Disney's Tangled is an animated spin on Brothers Grimm's Rapunzel fairy tale, there are two primary difference between this one and the original, one being the person who cuts Rapunzel's hair, and the other being the royal status of Rapunzel.

In the original version of the Rapunzel fairy tale, Rapunzel wasn't a royal, and Rapunzel's hair is cut as a punishment by a witch called, Mother Gothel, when she finds out that Rapunzel was pregnant. Whereas in Tangled, Rapunzel is a royal and her hair is cut by a thief called Flynn Rider, which makes it rape. I don't mean it in the sense of Rape of the Lock by Alexander Pope.

Entire Tangled movie can be called a glorification and celebration of rape of Rapunzel. Each individual action making up the rape of Rapunzel is spread throughout the movie from the beginning till the end, the penultimate action of rape, being the cutting of Rapunzel's hair by the thief, Flynn Rider, occurs towards the end of the movie. There are a lot of sinister things in Tangled which are not easily noticeable, like Mother Gothel and Flynn Rider working together.

At the beginning of the movie, Rapunzel is abducted from her parent's castle by Mother Gothel, and raised in isolation in a high tower.

The first action of rape happens after "When Will My Life Begin" song, when Flynn Rider along with Stabbington Brothers(Five Eyes), in Mission: Impossible style steal Rapunzel's crown, which represents her chastity, immediately after stealing the crown, while hanging, a palace guard sneezes, Flynn Rider asks him "hay fever?", and the guard answers "yes", a moment later, the guard realizes the crown has been stolen. In Tangled, Rapunzel is also referred to as Flower, in plant reproductive system, pollen play a crucial role, they produce sperm cells, one gets "hay fever" if they become allergic to pollen, when Flynn Rider is lowered into the hall with Rapunzel's crown, a roof tile with with Rapunzel's family emblem, which looks similar to sun or flower, is removed, that makes the act of entering and stealing defloration, bringing of pollen, which is forceful because the result is "hay fever" and lacks consent because the guards standing guard don't realize it.

Nose and it's functions have a special significance in Tangled, Flynn Rider has problems with drawings of his nose on wanted posters. Rapunzel's dream, since her childhood has been to see the floating lights in person, which are released on her birthday, when on her 18th birthday Mother Gothel refuses Rapunzel's birthday wish, Rapunzel hatches a plan to fulfill her dream with the help of the thief, Flynn Rider, after sending Mother Gothel away on a false errand, Rapunzel, ties up an unconscious Flynn Rider to a chair with her hair and drags him into the light, in their exchange, when Flynn Rider calls Rapunzel, Blondie, she corrects him that her name is Rapunzel, to this Flynn Rider responds with "gesundheit", which is a German word said when someone sneezes, which means something like "good health to you". Flynn Rider finally agrees to take Rapunzel to see the floating lights.

While under a lot of internal conflict from going against Mother Gothel's restrictions Rapunzel breaks down at the root of a huge ancient tree, thief Flynn Rider tries to pacify her, in that scene, Flynn Rider plucks a berry sticking out of Rapunzel's hair, and while saying "crush her soul" squeezes it, which is very similar to "popping the cherry".

After that Flynn Rider asks Rapunzel if she is hungry, when she says yes, he takes her to a pub called, The Snuggly Duckling(UN), there the thugs and ruffians realize Flynn Rider is the wanted thief and there is a huge reward for turning him over to the palace guards, as they try to beat up Flynn Rider, a worried Rapunzel uses her hair to get one of the thug's attention, and explains that she needs Flynn Rider to help her see the floating lights, she implores them to find their humanity and asks them haven't they ever had a dream, overcome with empathy, they sing a song together, in which each one shares their dream, in it Flynn Rider sings that his dream is to live on an island with piles of money. Pub thugs and ruffians help them both escape from the palace guards, but Maximus, the palace horse finds them out through the secret tunnel, after a scuffle, they get trapped in a cave, which starts getting filled with water, unable to see a way of escaping, thinking they'll die, they share their secrets, Flynn Rider reveals that his real name is Eugene Fitzherbert, Rapunzel tells him that her hair glows when she sings, as water starts filling the cave, Rapunzel sings first line of her healing incantation, when her hair glows, they see a small hole out, which they dig and escape.

In the cave, Flynn Rider gets his left palm cut, which Rapunzel offers to heal, at night, while sitting by a camp fire, Rapunzel wraps her hair around Flynn Rider's wounded palm and sings her healing incantation, when his hand is completely healed, he freaks out but is stopped by Rapunzel, when Rapunzel brings up his real name, he gives a back story and as they become emotional, he says he'll get more firewood and leaves, just at that moment, Mother Gothel confronts Rapunzel, and asks her to come back to the tower, which Rapunzel refuses, after a brief musical altercation, Mother Gothel leaves, handing Rapunzel the satchel with her crown. Just at that moment Flynn Rider comes back with more firewood, and asks her if he'll get any superpowers. It is possible that while Mother Gothel was confronting Rapunzel, Stabbington Brother's could have informed Flynn Rider of the plan, Flynn Rider being a greedy thief would have agreed, remember in The Snuggly Duckling, he sings his dream was to live on island surrounded with piles of money.

After "I see the light" song, Flynn Rider takes the boat to the forest side, where he spots Stabbington Brothers, Flynn Rider tells Rapunzel, he has a small business to take care of and takes the satchel with crown in it from Rapuznel, after Flynn Rider throws the satchel at the feet of one of the Stabbington Brothers, they tie him up with the stolen crown send him away to palace side in a boat, they come to Rapunzel and tell her Flynn Rider is escaping with the satchel, Rapunzel can't come to terms with it and tries to run away from Stabbington Brothers when they try to capture her, but her braid gets stuck in a broken tree branch, as she pulls on it, she hears hitting noises, when she goes back to see what happened, she finds Mother Gothel with a stick and Stabbington Brothers lying on the ground, knocked out. After this, they go back to the tower.

In Tangled, Mother Gothel and Flynn Rider were working together to deprive Rapunzel of her power. This is plausible, considering Mother Gothel's strong desire for being youthful and beautiful, she kidnaps Rapunzel in the first place for the healing power Rapunzel's hair has, Mother Gothel would have realized that she can't keep a growing, inquisitive child forever captive in an isolated tower, being a sorceress she must have been researching ways to extract Rapunzel's power, she must have learned that as long as it is in Rapunzel's hair, it cannot be absorbed, and as soon as Rapunzel's hair is cut, it looses it's power and turns brown, through her research she must have found out that it has to be in the form of tear to be absorbed, and the only way to get someone to shed tears is by making them cry. They know, Rapunzel has never met anyone of opposite gender since her puberty, so she'd easily fall in love with Flynn Rider, and she'll cry if he leaves her or is dying.

Now, the penultimate action of rape of Rapunzel happens in Mother Gothel's tower, after a confrontation Rapunzel is shackled by Mother Gothel, Flynn Rider manages to escape from his prison and reaches the tower, where for the first time in the entire movie he shouts "Rapunzel, let down your hair"(lot of significance behind this), Mother Gothel throws Rapunzel's long hair down and Flynn Rider uses it to climb into the tower, as soon as he enters, Mother Gothel appears to stab him, in the very next scene Mother Gothel brings the knife upfront, there won't be any blood on it(Wouldn't the knife have blood on it, if it was used to stab?), Flynn Rider collapses on the floor, there won't be any blood puddle on the floor(Wouldn't there be blood puddle on the floor, if he really had a knife wound?) What is even more significant is, after stabbing Flynn Rider, Mother Gothel steps over him, and the camera focuses on the stepping over(if it was insignificant, why focus on it?). In Hinduism, there is a ritual to remove evil eye, in which to free the victim of the evil eye, they are made to step over few ingredients to transfer the evil eye to them. Mother Gothel might have used a similar ritual.

The action of rape, cutting of Rapunzel's hair happens soon after, when Rapunzel tries to heal Flynn Rider, as Rapunzel tries to wrap her hair around, what Rapunzel thought was the wounded torso, Flynn Rider brings her face close to his as if to kiss her, just at the last moment he cuts her hair, now if he really wanted to help her, couldn't he have done that after she healed him? As Rapunzel's severed hair turns brown, Mother Gothel ages rapidly, Pascal uses the long severed hair to trip Mother Gothel out of the tower, viewers are only shown Mother Gothel's cloak falling towards the ground, when it hits the ground, there is just cloak and no body. Using a ritual Mother Gothel must have transferred herself into Flynn Rider. As Rapunzel thinks Flynn Rider died, a tear falls from one of her eyes, the tear containing the healing properties is absorbed, revives the amalgamation of Flynn Rider and Mother Gothel, this way Mother Gothel obtained the healing power of Rapunzel's hair, the one she wanted from the beginning of the movie. As Flynn Rider's dream was to have a lot of money, he got it by marrying Rapunzel, both, Mother Gothel and Flynn Rider fulfilled their dreams by raping Rapunzel!
